Writing: Max Andrews reviews Ibon Aranberri’s survey exhibition “Entresaka”, on view at the ARTIUM Museoa – Museo de Arte Contemporáneo del País Vasco in Vitoria-Gasteiz, for frieze

“The exhibition’s evocative title, ‘Entresaka’ (‘thinning’ in the Basque language), accounts for the show’s apparent evasiveness, evoking the forestry management practice of selectively felling individual trees in order to promote overall woodland health and diversity. The artist’s most representative and extensive projects are duly cut down as if to their stumps in order that more marginal works may be afforded more light.”

Affiliation: Renewal of Gallery Climate Coalition’s annual Active Membership

Latitudes renewed their Active Membership, an annually-accredited status of the Gallery Climate Coalition acknowledging those who are reducing greenhouse gas emissions and waste. The designation is awarded to GCC members who have completed a CO2e report for 12 months; established a Green Team member; and published an environmental responsibility statement.

Moreover, since 2023 Latitudes has been carrying out pro-bono work as founding members of the GCC Spain committee, one of the seven International Volunteer Teams representing the coalition.
