#OpenCurating research

Transcription of "Host and Ambassador: A Conversation with Yasmil Raymond", now available for download as a pdf or via Issuu from Latitudes' website.

This public event took place on the 19 February at the Auditori MACBA, as part of Latitudes' ongoing #OpenCurating research, which analyses the implications of Web 2.0, participation and transparency for contemporary art production and programming.

The talk with Dia Art Foundation's curator Yasmil Raymond addressed Dia's historical identity, the evolving role of the curator, and Raymond's vision in commissioning and preserving art projects. The evening incorporated "crowd-sourced" questions received via Twitter as well as via Facebook from the audience as well as from current and former work colleagues.

#OpenCurating is a research project by Latitudes produced through BCN Producció 2012 of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona.
