Tutors: Exhibition "El Misterio de Caviria" by Antoni Hervàs, opening 15 September, 19:30h at La Capella, Barcelona.

Throughout 2016, Latitudes is one of the tutors mentoring three projects selected as part of the tenth edition of BCNProducció – the Barcelona City Council initiative that finances projects to be exhibited at La Capella.

Through drawing and performance, Antoni Hervàs's exhibition collides two seemingly distant worlds: the dwindling Barcelona cabaret scene and the Argonauts of Greek mythology.

On view until 13 November.

Editors: Episode #3 of ‘Incidents (of Travel)’, an online periodical produced by Kadist

http://incidents.kadist.org

In the newly-released third episode of ‘Incidents (of Travel)’, artist Yu Ji hikes on Dong Shan (East Mountain), 130km west of Shanghai, in the company of poet Xiao Kaiyu.

Since April 2016 Latitudes and Kadist have partnered in a new 'distributed' phase of the project, taking form as an online periodical.

Originally conceived by Latitudes in 2012, ‘Incidents (of Travel)’ explores the chartered itinerary as an extended conversation between curators and artists, fieldwork and online storytelling of an offline day together.

Chicago-based curator Yesomi Umolu inaugurated the series with a dispatch from Chicago where she met artist Harold Mendez.

In the second encounter, curator Moses Serubiri and photographer Mohsen Taha explored Jinja’s Indian architectural legacy.
